Torch Trust, the Christian Sight Loss charity, is offering a FREE lamb Bible player to all children in the UK who have visual impairment or blindness.
We are thrilled to announce a heart-warming new initiative, we are launching nationwide, which offers visually impaired children across the UK the opportunity to experience the gospel through specially designed lamb teddies embedded with accessible Christian audio stories. The Hope for All project aims to distribute 300 of these faith-filled resources over the next two years, bringing encouragement and spiritual growth to children with sight loss.
The cuddly lamb teddies feature high-quality audio from the beloved Jesus Storybook Bible, narrated by acclaimed actor David Suchet. Designed to be soft, comforting, and user-friendly, each lamb will share the message of God’s love in a format accessible to children with visual impairments. The lambs also provide valuable sensory stimulation through their soft texture and audio storytellingākey elements for supporting emotional well-being and development in children with sight loss.
The lambs are soft and cuddly, with a built in speaker, containing the audio recording. This speaker is accessible for charging the device and a charging cable is included in the box. The lamb is switched on by pressing the nose. The paws operate other functions, such as skipping forward and volume control.
āHope for All is about much more than a toyāit’s about ensuring every child can engage with the gospel in a way that resonates with their needs and abilities. These lamb teddies symbolise faith, care, and the power of inclusion,ā said Sarah Dawkins, CEO at Torch Trust.
The project has been made possible through the generous funding of Fight for Sight, the UKās only grantgiving organisation funding both sustainable projects that deliver equity and science that brings prevention, treatment, and diagnosis within reach. Their support ensures the lamb teddies can be provided free of charge to visually impaired children across the country, with a goal of inspiring faith and hope.
The teddies will be distributed in partnership with Christian charities, schools, churches, and sight loss agencies (SLAs) to ensure they reach the children who need them most.
