Pathway audio Bible player
Torch Trust, the Christian Sight Loss charity, is offering a FREE audio Bible player to people in the UK who have sight loss.
The audio players are the new Megavoice Pathways and feature David Suchet reading the New Testament and Psalms. This small, easy to use MP3 player has an in-built speaker, preinstalled rechargeable batteries and comes with charging cable and in-ear headphones. The players have been tested by people with sight loss, with positive feedback about their ease of use and content.
Receive a FREE audio Bible player
From our years of experience, Torch knows the challenges that come with sight loss and as sight deteriorates. We have found time and again that the Bible provides a wonderful source of comfort and encouragement in the struggles of life. Whether you regularly read the Bible or haven’t done so for years, we would love to give you a free audio Bible player – the Megavoice Pathway. They come preloaded with David Suchet reading the New Testament and Psalms.
These audio Bibles are the size of a small remote control. They have few easy to use buttons to make it simple to start and stop, to move forward or backward between different sections. We’ll also include some instructions to help you get started. They have an in-built speaker and we have also included some in-ear headphones in case that would be better for you and your environment. Rechargeable batteries are already installed and it comes with a charging cable for you to plug it in. Lastly there’s a lanyard included so you can put the player around your neck so it’s harder to lose!
Anyone living in the UK who is blind or partially sighted and who is not a current client of Torch is eligible to receive one of these free players from us. It is a gift – there is no obligation attached.
There are three options to get in touch:
- The simplest way to order an audio Bible from us is to complete the form below (or get someone to do it for you).
- You can also call our friendly team on 01858 438260 and they will take all the necessary details and get one in the post to you. See contact us for opening hours.
- Alternatively, you can email us at info@torchtrust.org telling us that you’d like to receive an audio Bible, confirming that you are living with sight loss and giving us an address and telephone number. Terms and conditions apply.
Sponsor an audio Bible player
Every day an average of 250 people in the UK are told they are losing their sight.1 That’s over 90,000 people a year receiving life changing news, adding to the more than two million people estimated to be living with sight loss2. One in five people over 75 and one in two over 90 are living with sight loss3.
For many people losing their sight is traumatic and life changing and yet only 17% of them are offered any kind of emotional support4. At this crisis moment in their lives, what better gift can anyone give them than the comforting, life-transforming Word of God?
For over 60 years, Torch Trust has been a channel for the love of God into the lives of blind and partially sighted people. So convinced are we of the impact of Scripture that we are now offering to give a simple audio Bible player to anyone in the UK who is losing their sight and would like one. These Pathway players don’t need WiFi, don’t have lots of complicated buttons and have a small speaker and headphones. Imagine the comfort and impact of having David Suchet reading the words of Jesus or Psalm 23 to you!
Will you join us in giving the gift of Scripture? A donation of £20 will put the life-giving Word of God into the hands of someone going through the trauma of sight loss. What better thing could you do with £20?
